Bridestowe Lavender Estate is one of Tasmania's premier tourist destinations, and one of Tasmania's, if not Australia's, most photographed locations. Being the largest lavender farm in the Southern Hemisphere, it is a must to visit during December to January for spectacular views of the lavender in full bloom.
Stanley At Golden Hour Panorama 1
Stanley is a town of perfectly preserved colonial buildings, quant cafes and quality B&B cottages, all sheltering in the imposing shadow of the Nut, an immense flat topped, volcanic plug rising 150 metres straight up from the water's edge on Tasmania's north-west coast.
Ben Lomond 1
The late afternoon setting sun paints a warm glow on the exposed cliffs and the valley below. The magnificent mountain of Ben Lomond is dominated by an alpine plateau over 1500 metres high and surrounded on all sides by precipitous escarpments. It's also the main destination for downhill skiing in Tasmania. Its stark, treeless landscape is visible from much of Tasmania's north and the road to the top, known as Jacob's Ladder, is sure to leave a lasting memory.
